Oxford attractions
There is lots to do and see in Oxford, both indoors and outdoors. Many cost nothing, such as beautiful walks and the museums. Please ask us if you want our recommendations.
Sightseeing
Climb a tower for the best view of the dreaming spires: St. Mary the Virgin, Carfax and Northgate are all open to the public.
Hop-on hop-off bus tours are run by CitySightseeing Oxford.
There are a range of paid and free (by donation) walking tours.
Museums
Natural History and Pitt Rivers Museums (Pitt Rivers is at the back of the NHM)

University and Colleges
The University of Oxford is made up of 38 different colleges, many of which are open to visitors. Links to the college websites can be found here.
Punting and rowing
Punts and rowing boats can be hired from the Magdalen Bridge Boathouse and Cherwell Boathouse (keep scrolling down!).

There are lots of good places to eat with ten minutes of Acorn, and cuisines from from all over the world to be found on the eclectic Cowley Road. Close to Acorn are:

Local amenities
There is a local co-op shop and post office two minutes down the road. Bicycles can be hired from Cycloanalysts on Cowley Road.
